Online VerisonTHE first exhibition for 2010 at the Crows Nest Regional Art Gallery features the work of its volunteers. The exhibition Staff Works: Showcasing Talent of the Gallery will be on display until January 31. Exhibitions officer Alex Isaacson said the gallery was run by a staff of dedicated volunteers and a part-time co-ordinator. “It is really to show pieces created by the very talented workers of the gallery here,” Miss Isaacson said. “We have works ranging from textiles, painting, silver work, photography, theatre and much more.” Some of the items are for sale. Miss Isaacson has two pieces on show calledFlash and Cat #2. “These are some of my newer works,” she said. “One is a literal self-portrait I worked on and the other an abstract self-portrait.” The exhibition was officially opened yesterday at the Crows Nest Regional Art Gallery. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 11.30am to 4pm.
